She doesn't just get to strut her stuff in the water treadmill, Claire also gets laser treatments, massage, and other exercises to strengthen her and challenge her balance. And better yet Claire loves going to the "spa" as we affectionately refer to canine PT in our household. Licensed physical therapists can become certified in canine or equine physical therapy at a few institutions throughout the United States, like the University of Tennessee. These rehabilitation programs allow physical therapists to use their rehabilitation knowledge and training, just applied to a different clientele.
