Pelvic Health & Orthopedic Physical Therapy
Addressing your questions about pelvic, women's, and musculoskeletal health. Health is a journey. Movement is healing!
I have been a student the last 20 out of the 25 years of my life. It's safe to say I really don't remember a time when I wasn't studying or completing an assignment, on break, or gearing up for the next degree. Don't get me wrong, I love school. At one point in college one of my many career options was to pursue education to become a teacher. I enjoy learning about lots of different things (not so much math and organic chemistry), but school was also a constant source of anxiety in my life because I am very much a "Type A" person. Ever since graduating in May I have still been in school mode because I have been locked away studying for my licensing exam in Physical Therapy. Last week I found out I passed my exam which was such joyful and relieving news, but now I find myself in a space that I haven't been in before. What do I do now that I am done with school?
For the very near future I do know what will fill my time. Preparations for my move for my new career! For those of you who do not know I am moving to Carmel, IN (a suburb of Indianapolis) to work for Indiana University Health as a pelvic health Physical Therapist. I'll be a Hoosier once again. It's really my dream job. The patient caseload is really diverse with women, men, and pediatrics as well as a variety of pathologies that I really want to treat! So I am over the moon to pack my bags and head to Indy for this adventure! |
